Creating a project plan with dependencies and a critical path, even if at a somewhat high level, was the turning point for the project. It identified project priorities and demonstrated the consequences of late finishes. This is a sample project plan from July 2002. Note the status column toward the left. The status text is generated based on entries in the baseline and actual date fields. Pretty neat!
