This article from Healthcare IT News provides the results of a recent survey on the the major EHR vendors. Surveys were sent out to users culled from the HIMSS (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society) Enterprise Unified Database and almost 400 replies were received. Nine vendors made the final cut based on receiving the minimum of responses. The vendors were rated on interoperability, support, user experience, downtime, and overall experience. EPIC came out the clear winner, followed by eClinicalWorks, Allscripts, and Cerner. A worthwhile read for an organization looking to procure an EHR or someone wanting to get the current lay of the EHR landscape.
